Paige, all you need to do is post something featuring meat or beer, and you’ll have Dave right there ready to comment. This is doubly true if it features meat AND beer!
Meat and cheese do not always go well together! Once my mom was going through a phase where she was trying to get creative with meatloaf. She took a big ball of cheddar, wrapped ground beef around it, and baked it in the oven. To put it mildly, the dogs wouldn’t even eat it!!
I think you are probably right, Dave. It was definitely like 3/4 cheese to 1/4 beef. I remember thinking that it would’ve made a good prop for explaining the Earth’s core… with the cheese as the volcanic magma and the beef as the crust. Yes, a little simplified for the Earth’s composition, but certainly it was better suited for that rather than dinner!!
*drooooool*
Haha – yes, it has pork, your favorite!
But Jackie, where is the bacon? I expected more from you… π Actually, I bet that would be super tasty also!
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! I have to have SOMETHING without bacon in it!
Take note Ladies:
Sausage Balls = Married
To quote Homer Simpson “You don’t make friends with Salad”
That made my day!
Dave! Welcome back! We thought you didn’t like us anymore…

Hmmm…that goes for me too doesn’t it?
@Paige I read all the blogs I just don’t always have a comment π
@Mr3d You forgot the cheese

That’s strange that it didn’t work Paige as cheddar and ground beef can be a great combo IE a cheese burger.
Maybe it was the proportions?

@ Dave Ha ha ha! Dude, I almost put cheese when I posted that.
@ Paige THAT SOUNDS SOOOOO GOOD! You’re mom should totally do a guest post! =D
That’s a great idea for a edible science project Paige π
Ya the cheddar should be an “accent” to the beef not the other way around π
Agreed. Cheese is one of the three major food groups, as we all know…but these three major food groups have an order for a reason.
1 – Meat
2 – Beer
3 – Cheese
The lower should always be an accent to those above them. That’s just good sense.
These sound delicious but I’m going to have to come up with another name. Sausage balls will clearly not work for this perverted-minded family! π
That cracks me up. How about “mini sausage biscuits”?
That should do the trick! Thanks for the idea. I’ll try them out soon.
[…] Sausage Ballsare great appetizers. You can prep them ahead of time and just heat them up with you are ready to serve. A great finger food. […]
