Mmmm this cake was SO rich, yet SOOOO yummy! That says a lot coming from this non-chocolate fan 🙂 However it looked in process doesn’t matter, you saved it and made one amazing dessert!!

Honestly, I was freaked out when I saw the cake falling apart in my fridge but it still looks so good in that picture!! I have to give it to Baker Man for pulling it all together. That is after all, how he got his name 🙂
I think you just saved my marriage with this recipe. My husband loves flourless chocolate cake. He’s never had it layered though so this will be treat from him. But, I think I will substitute the strawberries for raspberries. Would that be a problem?
Also, the disintegrating cake looked pretty tasty to me. Maybe it could be served that way in its own right, but as a Mudslide cake.
I think raspberries would be fantastic on this cake. We just happened to have strawberries on hand that night.
And yes, I completely agree, the cake looked so good as it was breaking apart! It could be served that way. I like the whipped cream on it though to cut through some of the richness.

I totally think it could be a theme cake for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. That looks like a chocolate river to me 🙂
